MENA Regional Roundtable – Locally-Led Responses and People Centred Aid
The CALP Network is committed to supporting local actors to lead humanitarian responses, including the delivery of cash and voucher assistance (CVA), and to support the drive for people centred humanitarian response.
Following on from global discussions and commitments to this process at the High-Level meeting that took place in June 2023, we want to hear directly from local and national organisations in MENA on what actions are needed to drive this forward.
The upcoming roundtable discussion will be conducted virtually, and will take place on September 28th at 11:30-01:00 Amman time (GMT+3).
The meeting aims to create a space for reflection and dialogue and identify a list of priority policy areas and actions to take forward in the region, as well as feed into the global policy initiative that aims to influence the shift of power and resources from international to local actors and to strengthen our collective cash policy commitments.
